THE SALVATION ARMY KROC COMMUNITY CENTER, GRAND RAPIDS

The Salvation Army Kroc Community Center is nearing completion! Substantial completion is scheduled for the first week of September and the Kroc Center will open its doors to the public late October, 2010.

Erhardt is completing finishes such as carpet, millwork, and paint touch up in all areas. The elevated track addition is coming along nicely and will be completed by the Grand Opening.

The pool was completed and filled with water August 2. Water temperature of 86 degrees was reached in less than two days and the dehumidification system for the pool area is scheduled to be operational on August 10.

This spring, Erhardt started the remaining site concrete including drives, sidewalks, and curb and gutter. To date, we have placed over 1,300 yards of site concrete.

We have also just received approval to begin construction of the 4,000-square foot maintenance building on the east side of the property. This work will begin in the next few weeks and should be complete before the end of the year.
