PROJECT UPDATE: ALLEGAN WATER TREATMENT PLANT

Construction of the new 10,000 SF building that houses Allegan's reverse osmosis water softening and treatment plant was completed in late 2010. The balance of the process equipment for the plant has been installed and the city has been producing water into the system for the past several weeks.

In late July, demolition of the old treatment plant began. Over the next several weeks, the site will be restored including removing the lime lagoon, raising the grade of the site, parking lot, and landscaping.
